ENVS140 - Sus. Farm. II: Agroecology
This course will focus on understanding the ecological relationships and integrated farm management techniques involved in sustainable vegetable production. Students will take an ecological approach to developing and implementing a holistic farm plan, and will, through hands-on practical farm work and site visits to area farms, be immersed in the use of farm management techniques that apply key agroecology concepts. Lab fee required. Prerequisite: Prior Completion or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 099 if required by placement testing or prior completion or concurrent enrollment in ESL 120, 121, and 122 (or prior completion of ESL 103); prior completion or concurrent enrollment in MATH 090 if required by placement testing; RDNG 099 if required by placement testing. 4 cr. (2 Lec., 6 Lab.). Spring semester.
