HUMS230 - Human Service Internship
The internship experience provides an opportunity for students to spend 16 hours per week in direct service within social and educational agencies in the community. The 224 hours of fieldwork are completed during the spring semester and provide a forum to practice and develop helping skills expected of beginning professionals in human services. Students cannot apply credit for both HUMS 230 and HUMS 232 toward their degree. Prerequisites: ENGL 101; HUMS 105; HUMS 110; HUMS 229; RDNG 116 if required by placement testing; prior completion or concurrent enrollment in MATH 095 if required by placement testing. 6 Cr. (1 Lec., 15 Lab.)
