WGST248 - Contemporary Women Writers
Cross-listed as ENGL 248 Provides an overview of trends and themes in contemporary literature written by women. Through a broad spectrum of readings, students analyze the impact of gender on literature, recognize the diversity of women's experience as expressed in literature, and review the impact of feminist criticism on contemporary literary theory. WGST 248 fulfills the SUNY GEN ED Humaities requirement. Prerequisites: ENGL 102; RDNG 116 if required by placement testing. 3 Cr. (3 Lec.). Spring semester.
