MATH132  College Algebra and Trigonometry
This course covers fundamental algebra and trigonometry between elementary algebra and precalculus. Topics include polynomial and rational expressions, graphing, functions, first and seconddegree equations, polynomials and rational equations, absolute value, transformations, complex numbers, and right triangles and functional trigonometry. A specified model of graphing calculator is recommended. MATH 132 fulfills the SUNY General Education Mathematics requirement. Prerequisites: C or better grade in MATH 100 or appropriate qualifying test score; prior completion or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 100 or ESL 120, 121, and 122 (or prior completion of ESL 103) and RDNG 116 if required by placement testing. 3 Cr. (3 Lec.) Fall and spring semesters.
